In order to remain a leading, all-boys’ boarding school in Africa, a comprehensive Campus Masterplan and associated campus development projects have been defined. The plans include extensive refurbishments to all the boarding houses, the development of significant cultural and sporting facilities, the maintenance of our heritage buildings and our continued support of the larger educational landscape in Makhanda.
In addition, significant additional funding for both scholarships and bursaries is required in order to ensure that we can continue to offer places to boys from all walks of life, no matter their backgrounds or circumstances.

Supporting a boy’s tuition and boarding at St Andrew’s College for five years is an investment. Donors may contribute annually in line with school fees or structure a giving plan tailored to their financial and philanthropic goals.
One model uses fixed annual donations invested to generate income. This begins by supporting two boys in the first year, with additional boys added over time. Within 7–8 years, the fund sustains four boys at 50% bursary support.
Strategic giving emphasises the creation of self-sustaining models that can independently thrive over time. This mindset shifts the focus from short-term aid to long-lasting empowerment.
