Connor McNamara, a Grade 12 Visual Arts student, is shown signing his artwork, which was recently purchased by College. This piece marks the beginning of a new initiative: the Headmaster’s Collection. The establishment of this collection, with works displayed in shared and public spaces, represents an important step in elevating and celebrating the arts at St Andrew’s College.
Connor’s artwork, titled 175 Years Strong, launches our 175th campaign and commemorates the College’s legacy. In his own words:
“When I created 175 YEARS STRONG, my intention was to capture not just a milestone, but the spirit of everything that makes St Andrew’s College what it is today — its legacy, its strength, and its story. The work was created as a tribute, a visual embodiment of 175 years of identity and unity. Each element was carefully considered to reflect not only our shared heritage but the enduring spirit within every Andrean that continues to shape the school.”
This moment also reflects College’s commitment to the arts and to developing well-rounded students who embody the balance of creativity, academics, and athletics.
We are exceptionally proud of Connor and his achievements, and we wish him every success as he steps into the world as a confident and well-rounded young man.
